It was wicked, it was weird and it was strange. Although the movie is pretty long, the uniqueness and unpredictability of the movie keeps you riveted. It can be a little disturbing at times, but it just adds more flavor to the drama.
In some way, the movie shows the two aspects of human relationships in an extreme and dark fashion. The first is the obsession of having something common with your partner and the other is something that I can’t put in words at this point of time. I don’t know how to. In some ways, it is a parody of the real life.
The movie is a great piece of art in terms of script and direction. There isn’t much room for innovation in choreography since it is mostly set in a hotel and a jungle. The movie is a deviation from the typical modern romantic movies. And it might not be for everyone. Definitely a good choice if you are looking for something different.
IMDb-“In a dystopian near future, single people, according to the laws of The City, are taken to The Hotel, where they are obliged to find a romantic partner in forty-five days or are transformed into beasts and sent off into The Woods.”
