Midnight in Paris

“I believe that love that is true and real, creates a respite from death. All cowardice comes from not loving or not loving well, which is the same thing. And then the man who is brave and true looks death squarely in the face, like some rhino-hunters I know or Belmonte, who is truly brave… It is because they make love with sufficient passion, to push death out of their minds… until it returns, as it does, to all men… and then you must make really good love again.”-Ernest Hemingway, Midnight in Paris

It doesn’t matter who you are or what you like, this is a movie that you’ll definitely love. It’s a beautifully crafted combination of realism and fantasy. And Woody Allen is a genius!!

As the title suggests, the movie is set up in Paris. Now, Paris is known for its rich history in almost every form of art. This movie presents a crossover (in some way) between different form of arts; painting, poetry, literature, theatre and music. The characters and storyline is simple, there are no twists and turns. With all its quotes, watching this movie is a really delightful experience.

This movie quickly climbed to one of my all time favourites and I hope you you’ll like it too.

IMDb-“While on a trip to Paris with his fiancée’s family, a nostalgic screenwriter finds himself mysteriously going back to the 1920s everyday at midnight.”
